Père Labat Rhum Organic Blanc

In 2018, Distillerie Poisson planted organic sugarcane on a pristine plot of land constantly swept by the winds of Marie Galante. This is terroir-driven, natural rum: the cane was hand harvested and distilled on copper créole column stills after a longer than usual fermentation lasting 115+ hours.

Distillerie Poisson’s genuine love for rhum agricole and the island of Marie Galante pushed them to produce this intensely elegent organic rhum bottled at a still strength of 71.2% abv.

This is the first rhum produced by Distillerie Poisson to be certified organic and labeled as such.

Rhum Père Labat is distilled on the island of Marie-Galante, part of Guadeloupe. The distillery, aging facilities, and the estate's sugarcane fields sit on 1300+ acres. Producing rum since the early 1900s, Père Labat utilizes estate and locally grown sugarcane varieties native to the island. As rhum agricole, these spirits are produced from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice rather than molasses. The distillery is the oldest on the island of Marie-Galante and houses one of of the oldest stills in the Caribbean.
