L'Encantada Armagnac Domaine Le Freche 2006 Renaissance

L'Encantada has bottled this exclusive range to celebrate the rebirth of the proud spirit of Armagnac. These three exceptional single barrels – Artigaux 1989, Cuxtan 2006, and Le Frêche 2006 – are somewhat atypical profiles from their respective domains, taking drinkers off the beaten path to explore these beautiful distillates.

At 57.3% abv, Le Freche 2006 is a racy, woody, spicy, and powerful expression of Baco and oak. From the same vintage, Cutxan 2006 is a 50.5% abv fruit-forward, delicate but voluptuous journey through spices and orchard fruit. Artigaux 1989 slumbered in oak for 32 years to create a complex profile full of candied fruit and flowers at a robust 52.9% abv

L'Encantada curates Armagnac selections based on "authenticity, tradition and know-how." The producers for their independent bottlings distill directly in the heart of their fields, with a mobile Alembic Armagnacais still. Their cellarmaster's selections are "barrel raw" – neither their color nor their alcohol content are modified. L'Encantada has quickly made a name for themselves in the spirits community, offering impressive vintages from previously unknown estates.
