Père Labat Rhum Single Plot Blanc

This single plot rhum blanc originates from the north of the Poisson estate, a place shielded from the elements by the landscape surrounding it. The sun beams on the cane mauve while a gentle wind helps cool the temperature a bit.

This is truly natural rum: harvest is done by hand and a long, 80 hour fermentation follows. This rhum comes out of Distillerie Poisson’s two créole column stills at 70.7% abv and has been bottled without dilution.

Produced from the fresh juice of sugarcane that grew in one single plot, named Les Mangles, this rhum captures the essence and spirit of that micro-terroir. It will make a believer out of anyone who doubts the complexity that can be captured in an unaged rhum.

Rhum Père Labat is distilled on the island of Marie-Galante, part of Guadeloupe. The distillery, aging facilities, and the estate's sugarcane fields sit on 1300+ acres. Producing rum since the early 1900s, Père Labat utilizes estate and locally grown sugarcane varieties native to the island. As rhum agricole, these spirits are produced from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice rather than molasses. The distillery is the oldest on the island of Marie-Galante and houses one of of the oldest stills in the Caribbean.
