Velier Magnum Series #2 Hampden 13 Year 2010 1500ml
In 2021, La Maison and Velier launched a rum bottling range in collaboration with Magnum, the legendary photo agency founded in 1947 by some of the greatest names in photography including Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson. Magnum has long brought together many of the world’s finest photojournalists, and the rums bottled for this range match the quality of these legendary photographers. All releases are available in both 700ml and 1500 ml (aka “magnum”) bottles.
This second edition of the Magnum range celebrates American photographer Alex Webb, born in 1952 and a member of the agency since 1979. He is renowned for his vibrant, captivating photographs that capture serendipitous, enigmatic moments. More than just a collection of rums, this series embodies a bridge between the art of distillation and that of the image. Each bottle brings these two worlds together, highlighting an original work by a master photographer and an exceptional rum from a renowned distillery. This range is designed to appeal not only to rum lovers, but also to art and photography collectors.
Established in 1753 in the Trelawny Parish Hampden Estate stands as the undisputed icon of heavy pot still style rum. For nearly three centuries, the distillery has maintained unchanged production methods to create spirits of unparalleled character.
This 2010 vintage holds a special place in history: at the time of its release, it was the oldest fully tropically aged stock in the estate’s inventory. Bearing the classic LROK mark with an ester count of 200–400 gr/hlPA, this 13-year-old rum is bottled at 60% ABV, offering a profound depth of flavor and complexity.
